Dolphin Smart Ships Can Increase your CII Rating to an A or B Rating and increase your market potential.

On November 1 2022 the International Maritime Organization introduced regulations requiring ships to improve their energy efficiency in the short term and thereby reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Beginning January 1st 2023 it is mandatory for all ships to calculate their attained Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) to measure their energy efficiency. Based on this information ship owners will have to assigned a Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) rating to their ship. The CII will be rated A,B,C,D or E, where A is the best.  Dolphin Smart Ships can get you there.

A ship rated D for three consecutive years, or E for one year, will have to submit a corrective action plan. This will begin on January 1st 2024 and they will have  to show how the required index of C or above will be achieved. Let’s get you there.
